The Legacy of Firsts - Artistic and More...

(From Season 2 - The Sermon on The Mount) As filming starts on Season 4, The Chosen continues to be adventurous commercially and artistically. They became the first multi-seasoned show about the life of Christ. They were also the first Bible-inspired show to have a lead character portrayed as being on the autistic spectrum, and all the actors reflect the ethnicity and accents of the people and the geographical locations of The New Testament. The characters look and sound middle eastern. The Chosen Jesus is not the white and delightsome image we often see in some portrayals.
